Hair Experts Barber College
Located at 208 E 47th Street, Hair Experts Barber College is a cornerstone of Chicago’s barbering culture. Located at 8501 S Green Street, Dudley Beauty College focuses on cosmetology and beauty trades that have long supported Black entrepreneurship. The school prepares students for careers in salons, spas, and independent beauty businesses. Beyond licensing, Dudley Beauty College contributes to local economies by producing professionals who often become business owners and employers themselves.
FSTE Nursing
Situated at 1639 E 87th Street, FSTE Nursing addresses a critical need in healthcare by training Certified Nursing Assistants and other healthcare professionals. As a Black-owned nursing program, it creates direct pipelines into stable, in-demand medical careers while helping diversify the healthcare workforce. Its graduates play vital roles in hospitals, nursing homes, and home care services across the city.
Blessings Nursing Academy
Located at 200 E 75th Street, Blessings Nursing Academy is another example of Black-owned excellence in healthcare education. The academy focuses on practical nursing skills, workforce readiness, and community care. By preparing students for immediate employment, the business supports both economic mobility and better health outcomes in underserved areas.
