Ain’t It Fun Social Club Brings Joy and Community to the South Side With Bowling Night

The South Side of Chicago was full of laughter, energy, and sisterhood this weekend as Ain’t It Fun Social Club, a growing community for Black women, hosted its latest event — a vibrant Bowling Night that drew members from across the city.

Founded by Sarah Bearah, Ain’t It Fun Social Club was created with a simple but powerful mission: to give Black women dedicated spaces to unwind, connect, and enjoy life without pressure or judgment. Saturday night’s event was a perfect example of that vision in motion.

Held at a popular South Side bowling venue, the evening mixed friendly competition with music, conversation, and plenty of photo-worthy moments. From matching shirts to playful rivalries on the lanes, the atmosphere reflected the club’s core message — that joy and community are essential parts of wellness.

Ain’t It Fun Social Club has quickly gained attention for hosting creative, accessible events ranging from brunch gatherings to art outings to community service efforts. The Bowling Night adds another chapter to the group’s growing influence on Chicago’s social landscape, especially on the South Side, where opportunities for culturally specific women’s networking and leisure groups are still limited.

Members say the club offers more than entertainment — it provides connection. Many attendees shared that joining has helped them build new friendships, break out of lonely routines, and find a community that feels uplifting and authentic.

With more events planned for 2025, Ain’t It Fun Social Club continues to expand its reach and impact. And if Saturday’s turnout is any sign, the club is set to become one of Chicago’s most meaningful social spaces for Black women seeking joy, sisterhood, and community.
