The 5th Annual Englewood Music Fest lit up Kennedy-King College on September 13 with music, culture, and family fun. Organized and sponsored by the Englewood Art Collective, Teamwork Englewood, Greater Englewood Community Development Corporation, and Grow Greater Englewood, the free festival celebrated Englewood Excellence with thousands in attendance.
The crowd was treated to powerhouse performances from Grammy-winning gospel star Le’Andria Johnson, R&B legends Next, and hip-hop heavyweight Boosie, along with local artists and youth showcases.
Beyond the stage, the fest offered plenty for families: kids’ activities, a senior pavilion, food trucks, vendors, and community resources like school supplies and health screenings.
This year’s Englewood Music Fest once again proved to be more than a concert — it was a celebration of community pride and unity on the South Side.
